| | | Flood Relief & Grace Place Serving Opportunities | | Dear CypressStreetWM, We have a couple of imminent opportunities that have been realized this week. We also have something awesome to celebrate! Please check out the items below and, if you can help with any of it, please reply to this email or to neil@cypressstreet.org. Thank you so much and have a great week, Pastor Neil | | We sent out a plea for funds to aid our sister churches in South Louisiana so terribly impacted by the flooding. Did you ever respond!!! We have already put together over $2,500 as a church with more promised, WOW! To put it in perspective, a large out-of-state sister church of over 5,000 members is generously sending $10,000. I'm so proud to be counted amongst the outrageously generous family of God at Cypress Street Church of God! It's true what we say here: We'd rather give than receive any day of the week (and twice on Sunday)! :) | | | Our Church of God State Coordinator and another point of contact in Baton Rouge have both expressed a great need for work teams to travel down to Baton Rouge. This huge natural disaster has simply not garnered the media or government attention that so many lesser disasters have. If you would be interested in the possibility of going down to Baton Rouge with a work team in the next week or two, please let me know. I will be leaving for the Guatemala Missions Trip next week but hope that we can send a team in my absence. | | | This Monday, the 29th, is our turn to serve at Grace Place! Can you... - Bring brownies? (Please place them in the kitchen by Sunday morning. If you can place them in individual bags that would be great but we'll take them either way)
- Come serve? (Arrival time of about 10:45am)
- Come prepare? (Come earlier, like 9:30am)
