Church on a Mission

The coming weeks may mark a pivotal point in the life of our church!

These emails help inform & inspire us about what's happening at Cypress Street! Thanks for taking a moment to read it. View this email in your browser Dear Cypress Street, I am increasingly convinced that we are standing at a pivotal point in the life of our church. Over the past four years, we have done a lot of work and a lot of sacrificing to lay a foundation for growth and health.  I believe the time has come for us to shift our attention, efforts and prayers increasingly toward a more missional posture. To put it in more Jesus-like language, we might say it's time to become better disciples and to make more disciples. It's time to go deeper & reach farther! This month has already taken shape as a misisonally-focussed month with special guest Lindsey Crawford of Freedom13 sharing this past Sunday, with the Mercy Girls dinner this Wednesday night (the 15th @ 6:00pm), and one of our missionary partners sharing this Sunday, the 19th. But I especially want to ask you to mark your calendars for August 26th. Make a point to gather with us that morning! And if circumstances are such that you cannot be physically present, perhaps you can tune in through our weekly Facebook Live stream that morning at about 10:20am.  With hope & anticipation for what lies ahead, Pastor Neil Share Tweet Forward Visit Our Website Follow Us on Facebook Follow Us on Twitter Follow Us on Instagram Copyright © 2018 Cypress Street Church of God, All rights reserved. Plan to give toward a special offering. The Freedom Sunday offering will be split 50/50 between the local Freedom 13 organization and the global CHOG Trafficklight Initiative.  Bring one or more of the items Freedom 13 has listed as needs below. Cypress Street Kids August

Keeping you up to date on what your kids are learning and how you can help!

These emails help parents stay connected as key partners in our ministry's goal of helping our students grow strong in their faith! View this email in your browser Cypress Street Kids in August Miracles, heaven, angels, and spiritual warfare are part of a supernatural, spiritual world all around us. It's big, and it's invisible. We can learn about it from the Bible, but we will always have way more questions than answers. We can be okay with that when we trust God is infinitely bigger, greater, and more wonderful than our human minds can understand. He made this entire Universe, both physical and spiritual, and He's in control. The most important factor for your child's spiritual growth are their parents! Do family devotions at home that reinforce what your child is learning at church!    The Family Plan for this series is: Invisible World The same great ministry that brings you Bible.com and the Bible app on your mobile device also has a Bible App for Kids.
