Here's what they're learning about this month along with a coordinated Bible plan you can work through with them at home! This Month's Series When you ask Jesus into your heart, your heart becomes a "baby" all over again, whether you're a kid or an adult. But it's not okay for your heart to stay a baby forever! Grow up for God, and be mature. Keep your heart healthy by learning about Jesus. Live like Him every day by turning your back on sin, whining, wrong thinking and actions.  This series will teach our kids about owning their spiritual growth and becoming more mature Christians as they grow older.  Series Family Devotions There are free Bible-reading devotional plans based on the curriculum we've begun using. Now you can do family devotions at home that correspond with what your child is learning at church!  Simply visit bible.com or the Bible app (both powered by YouVersion) and browse through the Family Plans for this month's plan: "Grow Up!" Servant Sunday

View this email in your browser Leadership Recommendation Dear Cypress Street, We held a special service on Sunday, a day to "Cry Out to the Lord" and a day to prayerfully focus on servanthood and servant leadership in our Church. It was our second "Servant Sunday" but it was our first opportunity for the church at-large to recommend people to serve on both our new Leadership & Business Teams. From the names recommended, our Nominating Committee will compile this year's ballot for the Annual Business Meeting planned for October 19th. If you are a member of Cypress Street Church of God but did not have the opportunity to fill out a recommendation form on Sunday, you may download a copy by CLICKING HERE.  You can drop your form off at the office, mail it, or email me your recommendations by replying to this email. Just make sure receive it by this coming Sunday to be sure the Nominating Committee has your recommendations before they meet.  One thing all of us can commit ourselves to in the coming weeks: Pray that God would have His will in the creation of these two teams and that He would put the right people in the right places to lead us into the days to come!
