Here's what they're learning about this month along with a coordinated Bible plan you can work through with them at home! Easter Sunday is April 16 and we can't wait! Our kids will have a blast learning about the resurrection and celebrating that Jesus is ALIVE! Our workers are already planning an Easter Egg hunt and more for that morning.  This Month's Series This series shows God's love demonstrated as a key element of who God is and why Jesus came. But knowing about God's love means nothing if we don't express love for God and others. We'll find out what loving God and others looks like: seeking peace, forgiving, and selfless service. These are important parts of love, and they're meaningful acts of worship when they're the outcome of our great love for God. Series Family Devotions There are free Bible-reading devotional plans based on the curriculum we've begun using. Now you can do family devotions at home that correspond with what your child is learning at church!  Bible.com or the Bible app on your mobile device (both powered by YouVersion) offers this Family Plan for this series: "Put Others First!" Joe served in our usher ministry for many years. He, his late wife Grace, and his whole family have long been a blessing to our church family. Here's what they're learning about this month along with a coordinated Bible plan you can work through with them at home! This Month's Series This four-part series helps kids understand the difference between attending church and being the Church. The series covers helping others, loving others, being good neighbors, and leading others to become fully devoted followers of Christ.  There are biblical truths that compel us to reach out to others in the world. First, the Great Commission, Jesus' last command to all of His followers, requires us to take responsibility for making disciples of all of the people in the world—both across the globe and in our everyday relational encounters. Second, Jesus spoke repeatedly about caring for the poor and marginalized people in society: widows, orphans, foreigners, and others who are in need. Jesus summed up all of God's commands into loving God and loving others. We cannot follow Jesus outside of relationships that offer opportunities to put this command into practice.
