| | | Becoming Difference-Makers in Our Community! | | It's hard not to be excited about what God is up to with Cypress Street Church of God! There's a sense of momentum building as we look out beyond our walls and discover ways we can be difference-makers in the name of Jesus. We pray this is only the beginning of what God has planned for us to do! Take a look below and have a great week, Pastor Neil | | On Freedom Sunday, we hosted the co-founder of Project 41, a local agency deeply engaged in the fight against human trafficking right in our own backyard. Not only did we donate a lot of money and supplies to them that day but ladies in our church were inspired to partner further! Our women's group recently bought Project 41 a freezer and has begun to regularly supply meals for their "Esther's Academy" classes that are all about transforming lives in the name of Jesus! | | | Our local elementary school has allowed us to place a Prayer Request box in the Teacher's Lounge. At our monthly We Pray services, we pray for the needs Boley teachers have entrusted to us! Some more ladies in our church have taken the further initiative to take appreciation treats to the teachers there on a monthly basis. | | | In the aftermath of the flooding, we were able to partner with Boley Elementary to supply groceries to many of the needy families in our surrounding neighborhoods whose homes flooded. Reuben Mitchell also headed up an effort to walk around our immediate surrounding neighborhood to check on those affected by the flooding. Food was given in many cases but more important were the bridges built to people who need the love of Christ! | | | | | | | | |
