View this email in your browser Generosity & Serving Dear Cypress Street, We are taking 4 Sundays to look at 8 things we should increasingly value as a church. Because: When we value what matters most, we'll do what matters most! This past Sunday we looked at the values of Generosity & Serving (and you can catch up on CypressStreet.org or on our podcast, which I've found to be the best way to listen to sermons. CLICK HERE to find it on iTunes).  We have, in Jesus, the ultimate example of both generosity & servanthood. He gave up heaven's glory to become a servant to all. By embracing these two values, we are only emulating our King.  We are already a generous church--nearly 25% of everything given to Cypress Street is sent out beyond our walls to missionaries and ministries here and around the globe. But we must also be a church willing to roll up our sleeves and get our hands dirty in service the way Jesus taught us. Make an appointment to serve. Examples of upcoming opportunities:  Serve at our church workday this Saturday (June 4). Serve at a workday for the Ruston church we're trying to help get on it's feet again (June 11). Serve at Grace Place (June 15).
