Dear Cypress Street, We have a special opportunity this year. Research has shown that un-churched people are more likely at attend a Christmas Eve service than any other service of the year! That means we each have an opportunity to invite a friend of family member. I know the Christmas season means complex scheduling for most of us as we try to fit in travel and family, work, or friend gatherings. Not all of us will be able to attend this service. But allow me to encourage you to make the most of this opportunity, if at all possible! We look forward to our children singing, a live Mary-Joseph-and-Jesus, carols, candles and more. We want it to be both short and extraordinarily sweet. I pray it will serve frame our entire Christmas holiday in the context of worshipping the newborn King. One last thing: We will be handing out a Christmas Morning Family Devotion guide at our Christmas Eve service. We will worship in our homes on Sunday morning rather than gathering at the church again. Grace & peace through our Lord Jesus Christ, Pastor Neil | |
