This is an invitation to something more than just another service, another church program, another study. Those things have their place but this is something more than that. This is truly faith in action.
What is more powerful than prayer? And what do we truly hope to accomplish without it? If our goals and hopes are small, we might press on without prayer. But if our goals have to do with God-sized dreams of lives transformed, souls saved, evil defeated, world changed...well, then we'd better get serious about calling on the One powerful enough to accomplish all that and more!
What do we have on our to-do list that's more important than praying together? Nothing. What might we do that would benefit our lives more than praying together? Nothing.
Perhaps an hour of prayer sounds a bit intimidating or even uncomfortable. What's that even going to look like? Well, this being new for us, we're going to have to discover what it looks like together. We'll strive to provide enough structure that you won't feel lost but enough freedom that you won't feel trapped.
Come on Wednesday (February 4, 2015) @ 6:30pm. Let's learn to call on our Almighty Father with fervency, boldness, passion for the things near to His heart and the things heavy on ours. And let's do that together.
